California "ballot harvesting"? Speaker Ryan casts doubt on "bizarre" House elections
California is a one party state. That's it. The place has been essentially locked down by a crony statist club of big government party hacks.
It is a shame. California used to be a great place. Now it just continues to decay.
What I don't understand is why people can't see that wherever the Dems set up a single party system, New York City, Chicago, Detroit, LA, Philly, Baltimore, Washington DC (locally), things go bad quickly. Then they stay bad as the Dems establish their fiefdoms. As they build their party machines.
Yes the Republicans are plenty bad too. But in different ways. At least within the GOP there is some slight sense of suburban common sense. Just a bit. A hint of sanity.

Weeks after House Republicans lost their majority, Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) on Thursday cast serious doubts about the “bizarre” election system in California, where it appears that seven GOP-held seats will flip to Democratic control.
The California election system “just defies logic to me,” Ryan said during a Washington Post event.
“We were only down 26 seats the night of the election and three weeks later, we lost basically every California race. This election system they have — I can’t begin to understand what ‘ballot harvesting’ is.”
