Crimea Crisis: Kiev considers martial law: Russia seizes Ukrainian ships

Watch as a Russian ship allegedly rams a Ukrainian vessel.

Tensions are high. The Crimea in the Black Sea remains a flashpoint as it has for centuries. In the Ukraine armies may be mobilizing (more than usual.) It's pretty much a guarantee that Russia is on heightened alert. Both sides have hands on their guns, if not drawn.

Consider what all of this would mean had the Ukraine become part of NATO.

Ukraine is set to consider a presidential request for the introduction of martial law in the country following an incident in which Russian coast guard ships fired on Ukrainian navy vessels
An emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council was also called for Monday. The European Union and Nato called for restraint from both sides. 

Yes, restraint would be wise.
