Did you know: Mattis, Navy Chief, Trump poison letters sent to them THIS MONTH?
If you didn't you're in good company. Most people probably have no idea that this happened just a couple of weeks ago.
A Navy veteran in Utah has been charged with threatening to use a biological toxin as a weapon by sending letters to President Donald Trump and other leaders containing ground castor beans, the substance from which ricin is derived.
Charging documents filed Friday in U.S. District Court say 39-year-old William Clyde Allen III told investigators he wanted to "send a message," though he did not elaborate.
Many people are not aware of the attacks because they got very little coverage. We wonder why?
Now however, the pipe bombs sent in the mail to prominent Democrats are receiving huge media attention.
We live in absurd times. The old media are blaming Trump for inciting violence. Everyone has been too hot lately. But I remember the Republican members of Congress being shot at by a gunman a year ago. (And Steve Scalise almost dying.) I was on my way up to Washington that day and I listened to the play by play on Bloomberg Radio as I came into town.
I remember Rand Paul being attacked at his home and some Democrats making light of it.
I also remember Congresswoman Waters telling people to go after Republicans this summer. I remember the many instances of GOP members being harassed by people in restaurants after her statement.
Let's let the investigators do their job. We are very interested to see what they come up with. Regardless, everyone needs to take a deep breath. We've been at each other's throats long enough. Take it down a few notches on all sides.
