Ex-Trump Lawyer: Mueller Won't Issue a Report (USA Today hints the same?)

We'll see, but Mueller Time is looking like it won't be much of a party for Trump's opponents.

(From Newsmax)
“I know exactly what (Mueller) has,” Dowd said. “I know exactly what every witness said, what every document said. I know exactly what he asked. And I know what the conclusion or the result is.”
He added: “There's no basis. There's no exposure. It's been a terrible waste of time.”

Could it be that Trump is completely vindicated and the Democratic "Russia mob" completely vanquished? That seems almost impossible to imagine given the political capital expended on trying to find some sort of collusion with Russia by the Dems. There is no way, even if Trump is completely and totally clean, that the Democrats will acknowledge defeat. They can't for political purposes.

And today's report from Newsmax comes on the heels of this report from The USA Today which has been vocally anti-Trump. (What old media hasn't been.)

Robert Mueller has spent two years investigating Trump, and he hasn't said a word. It's possible he never will.

In the article it sounds very much like Mueller is preparing the anti-Trumpers for a whimperish ending to his investigation. One can never say for sure of course, but the flamboyant arrest of Roger Stone seemed to many analysts (including this one) to be a "jump the shark" moment. An attempt to squeeze something out of what appears to be nothing.

Some doubt that a substantial final report from the special counsel is even in the offing.
"He's a federal prosecutor; they don't write public reports," said George Washington University law professor Randall Eliason, a former federal prosecutor.
"Everybody is breathlessly waiting for the Mueller report, and I'm not sure that one is even coming."
