Freedom Caucus's Jim Jordan fights Pharma crony capitalism

I love that the publication (in the attached article) just can't come out and explain that Jim Jordan is doing the right thing and fighting crony capitalism. They have to tag him as "ultra-conservative". If Jim Jordan is "ultra-conservative" the editors of this publication must be to the left of Marx. Jordan's just a generally common sense "conservative" with some libertarian leanings. In other words, he's more likely than most in Congress to be a half way decent human being. (Though we don't know him personally.)

Anyway, good on ya Congressman Jordan. Pharma is deeply crony. It has long enjoyed special privileges given to it by Democrats and Republicans alike. Remember, Pharma wrote big parts of Obamacare. And Medicare Part D was a massive gift to Pharma.

Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee and a former chairman of the ultra-conservative Freedom Caucus, kicked off his panel’s hearing by offering his support for a controversial proposal that would inflame drug makers: to potentially cut the lucrative exclusivity periods the government grants drug makers for their products.
