Gun ownership in the USA highest in the world, Yet homicide rate is among the lowest in world (MAP)

Notice that this information comes to us from the anti-gun United Nations.

You know why pickup trucks don't sell well in the UK? Because if one leaves a chainsaw in the back of a Tacoma in England it will likely be stolen. In the USA this is much less likely to be the case. We'd argue that widespread gun ownership has something to do with this. We also argue that widespread gun ownership has something to do with lower rates of homicide also. At the very least there seems to be a reasonably defined reverse correlation associated with broad gun ownership and homicides. At least according to this data.
