New Poll: Voters Think Reporters Trying to Help Democrats in Midterm Elections
There is no one, Right, Left, or otherwise who can credibly argue otherwise. The mask came completely off leading up to the 2016 election. The mask was hanging on by a thread through the Obama presidency, just barely. But there is no plausible deniability any longer. Most of the media is absolutely in the tank for the Democrats. Everyone knows it.
And despite this Trump does continue to get traction. To date he has beaten the "legacy" or old media generally. He's gone toe to toe and he's scrapped it out because he knows he's not going to get the least bit of good coverage from the old media anyway. He might as well.
This absolutely infuriates parts of the media and the Democratic Party. Republicans are supposed to cow-tow to the media. They are supposed to cede the rhetorical ground to the old media. Trump has refused to do so and as such has exposed the political narrative crafters in a stark way.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 45% of all Likely U.S. Voters think that when most reporters write about a congressional race, they are trying to help the Democratic candidate. Just 11% think they’re trying to help the Republican instead. Only 35% think most reporters are just trying to report the news in an unbiased manner.
