Rep. Schiff floats "jail" for president for affair hush money? What? Thought this was about Russia?

The Dems are trying to capitalize on the House win and to keep the momentum going. Politicians are also looking to grandstand and become stars. That's what we see here.

Supposedly Trump would face jail time (according to Schiff) for paying hush money to women he had affairs with because this was a campaign finance violation. Huh? That's what you've got? Money to "hookers"? I thought this whole thing was about "Russian collusion."

If this is the route that the opposition is trying to pursue now this whole investigation seems a waste of time, especially considering the tens of millions of dollars that allegedly flowed (it looks like) straight from the Democratic National Committee to the Hillary Clinton campaign in violation of campaign finance regs.

Trump is who he is. If he violated the law then he has to deal with it. But the death sentence has long been in the pockets of the Democrats. Justice, or what is good for the country does not interest Schiff and his allies. They want to "get" Trump because they don't like him. In fact they appear to hate him. And hate is an ugly thing. Trump derangement syndrome has infected many people in Congress, sadly.

Way to put the country first Congressman Schiff. A class act all the way.

(From The Hill)
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) on Sunday said that President Trump might "face the real prospect of jail time" after prosecutors indicated last week that he directed illegal payments during his 2016 presidential campaign.
"There’s a very real prospect that on the day Donald Trump leaves office, the Justice Department may indict him. That he may be the first president in quite some time to face the real prospect of jail time," he said on CBS's "Face the Nation."
