Trump to boot Acosta again after court order expires

"The White House is continuing to violate the First and 5th Amendments of the Constitution," - CNN

Trump has his good points. He has his bad points. Taking issue with a CNN showboater is not one of his bad points. We think kicking Acosta out is not unreasonable given the reporter's antics. Just because he's employed by CNN doesn't mean (it seems to us) that he should automatically get a press pass at The White House. We don't see how this is a free speech issue at all. In fact it is rather funny to see CNN, pushers of the PC religion make the case for "free speech."

You know, we at The Sorrentino would like a White House press pass. Please feel to send one Mr. President.

Hey, maybe the judge who ruled in Acosta's favor can get us in. But, wait, we're not an official mouthpiece so probably no luck for us in the courts.

For the record we are for as much transparency as possible at The White House. The White House should be under a microscope, always. But we don't have a problem with the White House saying "no" to someone who is in the press pool to grandstand. And we are pretty close to 1st Amendment absolutists around here.

Following the decision, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that officials would "temporarily" reinstate Acosta's hard pass, telegraphing that it would likely be pulled again once the ruling expired.
"Today, the court made clear that there is no absolute First Amendment right to access the White House," Sanders said. "In response to the court, we will temporarily reinstate the reporter’s hard pass. We will also further develop rules and processes to ensure fair and orderly press conferences in the future."
